5. ‘Invalid licence/Could not open library text file’
encountered when doing a network install
When you run Button A, by default ExamQuest will want to install into
a folder called 'ExamQuest'
During the installation, you will be asked where you want to install
the files. Sometimes when you browse to the ExamQuest folder, it will add another
'ExamQuest' to the end of the path,
resulting in something like P:/apps/ExamQuest/ExamQuest
You will need to delete the second ExamQuest from the path, if you don’t it will create a second ExamQuest folder within the original one and you will get an error message.
> Top 6. 'Autoexec.nt system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications'
In order to solve this, go to the Start button and run a search for the file
'autoexec.nt' It is usually in the Repair folder, make a copy of it to the system32 folder (in Windows XP c:\windows\system32) and make a copy to the
'My Documents' folder, just in case you need it again. You may need to restart the computer.
> Top 7. After installing and running ExamQuest I receive the error message 'ordinal not found MFC.dll missing'
This error message is encountered on some machines running Windows XP or Windows 2000. This occurs if the operating system does not have two essential system files (.DLLs). The way to overcome this problem is to install and register the missing DLL files.
An ExamQuest demonstration version will install these DLLs for you. Click on the link below to download a demo onto the machine on which you are experiencing problems with ExamQuest. Once you have downloaded
the setup, double-click on it to install. Once the
demo is installed, try the full software.
Download demo
Now test the full version of ExamQuest. The problem should have disappeared.
> Top 8. A ‘Floating Point Overflow’ error appears when I try to print a document
This is due to an error or conflict with your printer driver, usually on a networked HP 2600N printer. There is no solution as yet, but if you export your document to Word, you can print from there.

10. When I try to install ExamQuest, my
Anti-Virus software warns me of a Trojan Virus
There is NO VIRUS
on the disc. This message only appears if you have AVG Anti-Virus
software. We have spoken to AVG, and you are advised to call them
directly on 01636 700 496 (ask for Sean Goodfellow
and quote
reference 'Doublestruck'). This is a problem AVG are keen to
fix.
In addition to this, you can either ignore the message and the run
the software, or browse the contents of the disc and run the '.exe'
files directly.
